Chronology of World Slavery
Published in Unknown Binding by ABC-CLIO (October, 2001)
Average review score:

Connecting threads of historyI do not consider myself a scholar or expert of any type, just someone who is interested in how the history of slavery effected changes in cultures. I found that this book was very impressive with the amount of information that it covered. It was easy to read, the structure allowed me to follow the timelines in a very natural way. I did not feel the book was formal and condascending in its approach to presenting the information. I felt that the book would benefit adults and younger students alike. There is such a wealth of world history inside this book. The illustrations were a great complement to the printed information as well. Overall, I think this a great book to learn from.

Day Trips from Orlando: Getaways Approximately Two Hours Away
Published in Paperback by Globe Pequot Pr (September, 2002)
Average review score:

Getting away from the theme parksThis book is a great reference for people who live in Orlando and are always looking for something new to do on the weekends. Sure, many of us have annual passes to the theme parks but sometimes you want a change of scenery. Orlandoans are very luck to have so many great places to choose from, all within a 1-2 hour drive and this book organizes everything for you. I have been looking for a book like this ever since I moved here 2.5 years ago and now I have found it. I just wished it included more web sites in the directory (and maybe included the web sites right within the main chapters). Also for some chapters, there are more "where to stay" listings than there are "where to go" or "where to eat" listings. I thought it a little odd to include so many accommodations when the title of the book is called "Day Trips" from Orlando.

Death in Washington : the murder of Orlando Letelier
Published in Unknown Binding by Lawrence Hill ()
Average review score:

Review of "Death in Washington-The Murder..Orlando Letelier"Well-documented, well-written book of the murder of Letelier and Moffet by a car-bombing in Washington on 9/21/76. Letelier was about to testify about the involvement of various U.S. agencies' involvement in the political environment in Chile before and during the Allende government. This book will be of particular interest to those disgusted with the American involvement in Indoensia, Iran, Guatamala, and elsewhere in the world. It's particularly sorrowing that Allende will not be put on trial, nor it seems, the parties responsible in the U.S. government for the terror and economic dislocation caused by U.S. meddling in Chile. But the book is valid, encouraging, and a superb example of how investigative reporting can cause changes for the better. We can only hope that with efforts like this will promote the ongoing legal actions against Kissinger and his trail of economic destruction around the world.

This book saved us moneyThis is a great book, very candid and straightforward. I bought two other books before our trip to Disney and this one was by far the best. It provided great tips to save money and time not only at Disney, but also for the other attractions in and around Orlando.

Grrreeaaatt! This was a very funny and useful book. I read it whilsthelping my smaller cousin to read it and she found it veryamusing. Although it is not the type of book I read, it seemed to interest my cousin and many of her friends. I would like to strongly recomend this book to anyone wanting to buy a book for younger readers though some older readers may find it a little boring

LFO: Lyte Funkie Ones
Published in Mass Market Paperback by SMP Paperbacks (17 February, 2000)
Average review score:

Good, but I could've written a more accurate book...Okay, let me start off by saying that they did a good job of filling new fans in on LFO's history... it's got a lot of info on how they started and their beginnings with Brizz. But I could've written a more accurate book! The writers obviously got 99% of their info from magazine articles and websites, without verifying if the info was accurate. And we all know that mags & websites don't always have the correct information! They wrote that Rich and Brizz met Brad at a party in NYC. Now, that's what I had thought too because that's what their old bio said. But then in recent interviews and stuff, they said that Rich knocked on Lou's door and Brad answered it and that's how they met. Well, I asked Brad about how they REALLY met and it was at Lou's house, not at a party in NYC! The other thing they were wrong about was LFO first US performance... they said it was at the Orlando Bands Together show on March 15, 1998. That's not right. Because I saw them perform for the first time on February 21, 1998 when they opened up for BSB at the House of Blues in Orlando! Other than that, the book is good and full of info for relatively new fans. (I've been a fan for 2 years, so it was mostly old news to me!) I don't want it to sound like the book isn't good though... it is very informative! Too bad there weren't more pix though! =)
